Ikigai Greenland Paddle

The Ikigai features soft traditional shoulders, the subtle ridge where the shaft meets the blade, giving your hands a tactile reference point for grip position without the hard stop of a Euro blade. This is the authentic Greenland transition, preferred by paddlers who use a fixed grip for touring and a sliding grip for rolling. The blade is 780 cm², narrow and elongated, with a rounded tip and dimensions of 55 mm at the shoulder, 74 mm at mid-blade, and 84 mm at the tip. The result is a blade that enters the water quietly, loads gradually, and exits cleanly, ideal for the high-cadence, low-angle stroke that defines efficient Greenland touring.

Built from Toray 3D Carbon Fiber S700SC, one of the highest-grade carbon fibres available, over an Etha-lite Foam Core, the Ikigai achieves an exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio. The foam core keeps the blade buoyant and responsive in sculling and rolling support strokes. A Full Kevlar Strap Edge runs the perimeter of each blade, protecting against rock strikes and edge wear without adding meaningful weight. Hydrophobic Nano Coating sheds water instantly off the blade face. At 635 g (220 cm) and 637 g (225 cm), it is genuinely one of the lightest full-carbon Greenland paddles available.

Available in 220 cm and 225 cm. The 220 cm suits most paddlers up to around 180 cm in height using a traditional Greenland stroke; the 225 cm suits taller paddlers or those with wider boats. The soft shoulder gives your hands a natural reference point, so sizing is slightly more forgiving than a shoulderless design. The 29 mm shaft diameter and Phantom Push Connection work perfect on the water for all paddlers.

The Ikigai is purpose-built for Greenland rolling and sea kayak touring. Its traditional shoulder geometry makes it the natural choice for paddlers working through the Greenland rolling canon, from the standard roll to storm rolls, butterfly rolls, and extended paddle techniques.
