Ngaru Paddle

The Ngaru's blade is wide and elongated at 670 cm², measuring 51.5 cm × 17.8 cm — a generous surface area that generates strong, sweeping forward drive without requiring a highly technical stroke. The blade loads progressively and exits cleanly, making it forgiving for paddlers still developing their technique while remaining efficient enough for experienced tourers who want a dependable all-day paddle. The Etha-lite Foam Core keeps the blade buoyant between strokes, reducing the dead-weight feel that heavier paddles produce on long days. The Hydrophobic Nano Coating sheds water cleanly off the blade face, and the Nano-Coated Ergonomic Grip on the straight shaft provides a secure, comfortable hold in all conditions.

Built from Toray T700 Carbon Fiber in a 6K+3K Hybrid Weave — the same T700 carbon used in the Zyren — over an Etha-lite Foam Core with Structural Carbon Weave Reinforcement throughout the blade. This gives the Ngaru a solid, confidence-inspiring feel without the brittleness of lower-grade carbon constructions. The Vector Smart System allows tool-free feathering adjustment, so you can dial in your preferred angle for wind conditions or personal preference. Weight: 860 g at 208–218 cm.

Available in 208–218 cm (860 g), adjustable within the range to suit your height, boat width, and stroke style. As a general guide, paddlers up to around 175 cm in height using a low-to-mid angle stroke typically suit the shorter end of the range; taller paddlers or those in wider recreational kayaks benefit from the longer end. The 29 mm shaft diameter suits most hand sizes, and the straight shaft keeps wrist alignment neutral across long paddling sessions.

The Ngaru is built for flatwater touring, lake paddling, river touring, and coastal sea kayaking at a comfortable, sustainable pace.
