The Taikiu uses the same compact 610 cm² asymmetric Euro blade as the Ashika K-PRO (44.5 cm × 17 cm), but pairs it with a bent shaft — the key differentiator. The ergonomic bend in the shaft aligns your wrists more naturally through the stroke cycle, reducing the rotational stress that accumulates over hours of paddling. The result is a blade that feels smooth and consistent from the first stroke to the last, with none of the wrist fatigue that a straight shaft can produce on long days. The Toray 3D Hex Carbon Fiber S700SC layup gives the blade a firm, efficient feel, and the Etha-lite Foam Core keeps it buoyant and responsive between strokes.

Built from Toray 3D Hex Carbon Fiber S700SC — the same high-modulus hexagonal weave carbon used across the K-PRO range — over an Etha-lite Foam Core. A Full Kevlar Strap Edge protects the blade perimeter from rock and shoreline contact, and the Hydrophobic Nano Coating sheds water cleanly on every exit. The Nano-Coated Ergonomic Grip on the bent shaft enhances comfort and control in wet conditions. The Vector Smart System provides tool-free feathering adjustment. Low-angle touring paddlers typically use a longer paddle than high-angle paddlers — the blade enters the water further from the hull and sweeps through a wider arc. As a starting point, paddlers up to around 175 cm in height often suit the 208–218 cm range; taller paddlers or those in wider boats typically prefer 214–224 cm. The bent shaft geometry means grip position feels slightly different from a straight shaft — most paddlers adapt within a session.
